The first drink idea in our series is called “The Gingerita.” It was created here in our studio during the COVID lockdowns of 2020, and we hope that it brings you joy.
Ingredients
- Tequila
- Gingerale
- Salt
- Lime- 1 small
- Ice (Optional)
Step ONE: Prepare your Glass
Wet the very edge of the glass and dip in salt.
Step TWO: Make sure it’s cold!
Add ice and/or make sure that your gingerale is refrigerated.
Step THREE: Add Tequila
We recommend adding the tequila first to make it easier to eyeball the amount if you do not have a shot glass.
Step FOUR: Add Gingerale
Add gingerale, and be sure not to spill on your salted rim.
Step Five: Slice of Lime
Add a slice of lime for something extra.

Please drink responsibly and make sure that you and those around you are safe. It doesn’t take a lot to think you are ok to drive and then cause an accident. Please don’t. Instead, plan ahead! Rochelle, thank you for your prompt attention to this. It struck me as unusual and so I also did a quick search on the word. And yes, the term came up only once. -In class 32.
But we also have the mark in class 33, with alcohol.

I have pasted the link above here.
If it does not come up, you can go into the TESS search system and search registration number 3,750,731
Again, I am perplexed why the initial search only showed it in one place.
Thank you and best wishes,
Bill

Bill,
Thank you so much for your reply. We would be happy to feature your products if you would like to send samples for review.
We have edited our post to reflect generic tequilla, generic gingerale, and generic salt so that you do not have any competing products displayed on this page.
We hope that you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving and wish you a wonderful end to your year and a great 2021.
Sincerely,
Rochelle Swanson

Hello Swanson Fine Arts. We see your article for a “Gingerita”. Thank you for your creative work, but we must ask you to remove it right away. We hold the trademark for that word and it is used with our business. If you would like, we can easily send you a bottle of our product, Elixir G Ginger Mix, and you can review drinks made with it. Dear Anonymous,
According to the US Patent and Trademark Office, a “Trademark infringement is the unauthorized use of a trademark or service mark on or in connection with goods and/or services in a manner that is likely to cause confusion, deception, or mistake about the source of the goods and/or services.”
We are not offering any product or service under that name.
Your trademark only covers competing “PREPARED NON-ALCOHOLIC COCKTAIL MIX” being sold in the geographic market of “SANTA MONICA, CA.” This means that others are still free to sell “Gingeritas” or even products called “Elixer-G” in other markets.
Sharing a family recipe on a blog is not a violation of trademark law.
That said, if you would still like to send a sample of your products for review I would be happy to fairly evaluate your “Elixir G Ginger Cocktail Mix” or “Elixer G Ginger Soap Bar.”
Thank you for your understanding,
Rochelle Swanson
